Seymour C.A.R.E.S. seeks volunteer shelter manager

If this is an emergency where an animal is sick/hurt, you MUST contact your town Animal Control.

If they're closed, call your police station.

At the very least, transport the animal to the emergency vet.

The Library is at 46 Church St., Seymour.

Cornhole for a Cause, antiques, more to highlight First Saturday in Seymour

SEYMOUR - During the Shops at Seymour First Saturday celebration this week Lizzie's Corner Consignment and Gifts, 36 Bank St., will offer cornhole for the adults, kids' activities and more to benefit Seymour CARES (Coco’s Animal Rescue Efforts of Seymour).

The playing will begin once the streets are closed and will run from 4-8 p.m.
Suggested donations are old towels and blankets or any pet-related items.
Live music will fill the streets from 6-8 p.m.  Stroll the downtown, stop for tea, a cupcake, and lots of treasure hunting. 
The antique and specialty shops are quite a treat! 
The Strand Theater will be running a movie too!

*I posted this last Friday; the organization is  holding the event again Saturday (Sept. 30).

SEYMOUR - Volunteers from Seymour C.A.R.E.S. will be shaking cans from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday at Stop & Shop, 15 Franklin St. 

Please stop by and make a donation for cats and dogs in need.
In addition, food donations for the Seymour/ Oxford Pet Food Bank will also be accepted.
