First Saturday in Seymour to feature tree lighting, Santa's visit, carolers


Come experience Christmas in Seymour!

Sidewalk Showcase Saturday at Lizzie's Corner to support Seymour Pink


It’s the First Saturday of October and we’re celebrating at Lizzie’s Corner, 36 Bank St.!

It’s a big day in Seymour! Bring your 5K bib to Lizzie’s Corner and we’ll donate $2 to Seymour Pink!

Heather’s Kloset will be our Sidewalk Showcase with her amazing handmade American Girl and other size doll clothes. She’s got dresses, pjs and wait until you see the Harry Potter outfits for all four houses!

Shops at Seymour to mark First Saturday with Block Party


Don’t miss this special event from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 7 in downtown Seymour!
The event is hosted by Shops at Seymour and Lizzie's Corner Consignment and Gifts, 19 Bank St. 

The fun lasts all day and into the evening. Stroll from antique shop to specialty shop while live music plays at the corner of Bank Street and Columbus.
Drop in for a bite to eat at the many eateries.
Many merchants will have special offerings right up until 8 p.m.
Located off exit 22 from North or South Route 8, you’ll find public parking lots within easy walking distance. Once you’ve arrived make sure you check out all the shops. Mosey down to Main Street, Columbus, and Bank Street. Treasures abound!

Our Seymour Culture And Arts Summer Concert Series returns at 6 p.m. with Larry Ayce! Concert is free to the public - just bring your chairs. Dancing in the streets is more than welcome!

Shops at Seymour ready to host 'First Saturday' celebration


SEYMOUR - Happy March! Come to downtown Seymour for our monthly "First Saturday" celebration!

Our shops will be open late and serving up some refreshments (and deals!)

Lizzie's Corner Consignment and Gifts will be celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday with costumes, snacks, and a reading by local author Anthony Paolucci at 1 p.m.

Strand Theater in Seymour will be hosting "Treehouse Comedy Night" featuring Jackie Martling, Brian Barganier, and Regina DeCicco. (8-10 p.m.)

Tickled Pink will host a meet the author and book reading of Paw Elementary with local author Katie Melko (11 a.m.)

All of this and more! Head downtown March 2 and join the fun!

Cornhole for a Cause, antiques, more to highlight First Saturday in Seymour



SEYMOUR - During the Shops at Seymour First Saturday celebration this week Lizzie's Corner Consignment and Gifts, 36 Bank St., will offer cornhole for the adults, kids' activities and more to benefit Seymour CARES (Coco’s Animal Rescue Efforts of Seymour).

The playing will begin once the streets are closed and will run from 4-8 p.m.
Suggested donations are old towels and blankets or any pet-related items.
Live music will fill the streets from 6-8 p.m.  Stroll the downtown, stop for tea, a cupcake, and lots of treasure hunting. 
The antique and specialty shops are quite a treat! 
The Strand Theater will be running a movie too!

Seymour to hold annual Sidewalk Sale on First Saturday

SEYMOUR - The Shops Downtown will hold their annual Sidewalk Sale in conjunction with the First Saturday Celebration from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday. 
Don't miss this month! 
Merchants will be offering refreshments and bargains!

Lizzie's Corner Home Consignment and Gifts is hosting a Mini Flea Market at the corner of Bank and Wakeley Streets too! 
Start your day downtown with breakfast or come later for lunch or dinner. 
The Culture and Arts Commission is hosting a concert at 6 p.m., and The Strand Theater will show a classic movie at 7 p.m. 
There will be lots of activities for the whole family.

Singer Larry Ayce to perform Saturday in downtown Seymour

SEYMOUR - The Seymour Culture and Arts Commission continues its summer concert series Saturday with the local favorite Larry Ayce performing country favorites and so much more!
The concert will take place in historic downtown Seymour in the Seymour Town Hall parking lot, 1 First St. from 6-8 p.m. as part of First Saturday festivities. 
There is no rain date or location for the concert. Please bring your own chairs. 
Parking is available on surrounding streets, but do not park in the First Street plaza as shop owners will have your car towed.

Downtown Seymour shop to mark First Saturday event

SEYMOUR - We have reached another First Saturday!

Flashback to perform Saturday at block dance in Seymour

SEYMOUR - The Seymour Culture and Arts Commission will end its summer concert series Saturday with a block dance.

The concert will feature the band Flashback playing music from the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s. 

The concert will be held at the corners of First and Bank Streets in historic downtown Seymour from 6-8 p.m. in conjunction with First Saturday events. 
Please join us for a great night out! 

Parking is located on the streets and parking lots around the downtown area. 
Do not park in the First Street plaza lot – your car will be towed by the plaza owners! 
Bring your own chairs. There will be no rain date or location for this concert.

Handmade market slated Saturday in Shelton

SHELTON - Downtown Handmade Market, a celebration of handmade artisans, takes place on the first Saturdays of every month in the Conti Building, 415 Howe Ave. (near Farmer’s Market) from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
