Derby Public Library eliminates overdue fines for patrons

"Just a reminder that in our efforts to increase equity of access within our community, Derby Public Library has officially gone 'Fine Free.'

"We are no longer charging overdue fines on Derby Public Library items only, excluding overdue museum passes and technology equipment.

Ansonia Library opens book drop today for returns

"We are pleased to announce the Ansonia Library has opened the book drop for your returns. We will be quarantining the returned material for 48 hours before checking them in. All fines will be waived.

*IMPORTANT*
"Due to COVID, we will not be accepting any donations. Please do not place donations in the book drop, it is only for the purpose of returning library materials."

Derby Public Library children, teen materials fine free through June 30

DERBY - Are your borrowed Derby Public Library Children and Teen materials late? No worry.

All Derby Public Library Children and Teen borrowed materials, except museum passes, are fine-free through June 30.

- Borrowed Derby Public Library materials are expected to be returned on time.
- Items from other libraries are subject to the terms of the owning library.
- Costs for damaged or lost materials is the responsibility of the cardholder.

The Library is at 313 Elizabeth St.

Children's, teen books are fine free at Derby Neck Library

COMING IN SEPTEMBER!! 
DERBY -“Read Away Fines” Program for ALL AGES! 
Derby Public Library will waive a penny of fines for every minute of reading you do in September up to $10 (Derby Public Library fines only). 
This includes job-related, homework, test prep, comic books, even Mom and Dad reading to you. Teens reading to or with younger children gets both of you credit!
