Explore science at STEM Saturdays at Derby Neck Library


Join us [at Derby Neck Library] on July 25 at 2 p.m. for STEM Saturdays!

Our children’s program offers fun science explorations that build curiosity about the natural world. Together, we'll use the scientific method to observe and experiment.

All ages are welcome, and registration is not required.

Science exploration fun on tap Saturday at Derby Neck Library


DERBY - Join us at 2 p.m. Saturday for STEM Saturdays at Derby Neck Library!

STEM Saturday program to focus on Gravity Art at Derby Neck Library

 

STEM Saturdays is our newest children's program offering fun science explorations that help grow understanding about the natural world and reinforce the scientific method as a tool for making meaning out of observations.

STEM Saturdays is an all-ages drop-in program. Stop by the Children's Room any time between 2 and 4 p.m. to try the experiment! 
Topic: This week, we're making Gravity Paintings that imitate rain clouds! 
Learn all about what makes a rain cloud a rain cloud and create your own work of art using watercolor paint and gravity.

Derby Neck Library to launch STEM Saturdays for children


DERBY - STEM Saturdays is our newest children's program [at Derby Neck Library] offering fun science explorations that help grow understanding about the natural world and reinforce the scientific method as a tool for making meaning out of observations.

STEM Saturdays held from 2-3 p.m. alternate weekly between programs designed for little children (ages 3-6) and big children (ages 7+). 
This week's program [Feb. 14] is recommended for the Bigs.

Topic: Cryptology and codebreaking. How to make and decipher codes, and how that connects to security in the modern world.

The Library is at 307 Hawthorne Ave.
