Seymour Pumpkin Festival slated Sunday at French Memorial Park


SEYMOUR -The annual Seymour Pumpkin Festival will be held from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sept. 22 at French Memorial Park, 62 Spruce St.

The event was started in 1965 and has been running strong since. It features live entertainment, food, crafts, vendors, family fun, activities for kids, and more!

St. Michael's CWV Post 1562 in Derby to host benefit dinner Tuesday


DERBY - St. Michael's CWV Post 1562 monthly pasta dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday will benefit the TargetCTforT2T initiative to raise money for CONNECTICUT veterans and first responders. 

The Post is at 112 Derby Ave.

Dinner is just $10 per person, but reservations are needed to ensure we have enough to go around for all! 

Call the Post at 203-734-9748 to get your ticket. Dinner includes bread, salad, pasta in meat sauce, coffee and dessert. 

Bonus of the evening, great time with friends, those you know and those you will make! Join us!

Time to join team for Pounding the Pavement for Pink 5K in Seymour


Team Registration ends Sunday, September 15 at 11:59 p.m.!

The 13th Annual Pounding the Pavement for Pink 5k will take place Saturday, October 5 in Seymour or virtually anywhere that same weekend!


Team registration will close Sunday, September 15 though this year for the first time ever, we are extending registration! You can register to participate in our 5k Walk/Run up until October 2 (or race capacity) You will still be able to walk or run with a team in spirit - just not formally through registration - giving our all volunteer race committee and timing company opportunity to process paperwork for bib assignment and swag distribution before race week.


Race Options:

  • 5k - Live in Seymour (3.1 Mile Walk or Run) - October 5
  • 5k - Virtual Anywhere (3.1 Mile Walk or Run) - October 4-6
  • Kids Race - Live in Seymour (~.5 Mile Run) - October 5
  • Kids Race - Virtual (.5 Mile Walk or Run) - October 4-6

Our Kids Race is a short fun run for children ages 8 and under.
