The Little Free Pantry on Skokorat in Seymour shares wish list

The BAD NEWS is that our shelves are completely EMPTY. We put out the last of our supplies out yesterday.

The GOOD NEWS is that people are still donating items directly into the pantry.

When we don’t have extra supplies on hand, it makes it difficult to ensure we have a good variety of items. It’s also difficult to keep the pantry from becoming empty. Given that we understand how challenging it is for many of our neighbors to get to us, we try hard to make sure we always have something on our shelves.

WHY ARE WE SO BUSY?

With costs continuing to rise, so does our town’s ALICE population.

ALICE is a acronym for Asset Limited Income Constrained Employed - meaning individuals and families who are working and still can’t afford their basic needs. Almost HALF of our neighbors are now falling into this bracket. Often these individuals are making too much to qualify for assistance, despite earning too little to afford their basic household expenses.

We will gratefully accept ANY donations of nonperishables 🥫 (please check expiration dates), fresh produce🍆, and bread🥖. Our most consistently needed items are:

👉🏻 PROTEINS (tuna, chicken, salmon, nuts)
👉🏻 microwave meals (Hormel, chef Boyardee, instant Mac and cheese)
👉🏻 pasta & sauce
👉🏻 canned vegetables
👉🏻 peanut butter
👉🏻 snacks (popcorn, crackers, granola bars)

Hygiene products like tooth brushes, tooth paste, soap, pads/tampons, and shampoo are also always needed and deeply appreciated.

You can drop off items in person by either placing them directly into the Pantry or into the black donation bin by our garage door.

You can also order through our Amazon Wishlist https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/31DQMG6QQ65HX... OR you can have items shipped or delivered to 58 Skokorat St.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask!

As always, thank you SO MUCH for all your support! We love and appreciate you! ❤️
