Teens invited to play Dungeons & Dragons at Plumb Memorial Library in Shelton


SHELTON - Tweens and teens, ages 12 and older, are invited to partake in a "One-Shot" adventure in the realm of Dungeons and Dragons from noon- 2 p.m. Sept. 13 at Plumb Memorial Library.

This one-shot adventure is great for those who are both new and experienced players that can be completed in the afternoon.
FREE food will be provided.
The Library is at 65 Wooster St.

Teen Advisory Board to meet Dec.18 at Derby Public Library


DERBY - Derby Public Library invites all young adults ages 12 to 17 to a Teen Advisory Board meeting at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 18.

Attendees are encouraged to voice their ideas for improving and expanding young adult library services and teen programming. 

Focus will include participant input that contributes to the library fulfilling its mission of quality-of-life enhancements in knowledge, entertainment, and citizenship.

Plumb Memorial Library in Shelton to present Play to Learn event


KeyForge: Learn to Play with Ethereal Lounge



SHELTON - Ethereal Lounge and Plumb Memorial Library are teaming up once again to present another Learn to Play event at noon March 30. 

This month, Ethereal Lounge will be showing tweens/teens (ages 12 and older) how to play fantasy card-based role-playing game, KeyForge. Your mission is to forge keys and unlock the hidden bounty that awaits you! 
Fans of Magic: The Gathering will def want to register for this program.

All new players will be given a FREE deck of cards. 
Food and refreshments will be served.
The Library is at 65 Wooster St.

Ansonia Library recruiting Teen Advisory Board members


ANSONIA - Join the Ansonia Library's Teen Advisory Board and collaborate with us by:
  • giving advice on new programs;
  • recommending items for the teen collection;
  • input on summer reading incentives;
  • assisting with programs and special projects.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW?
  • TAB membership is open to Ansonia residents ages 13-18 with parental permission;
  • Try to attend quarterly meetings during the year to learn about the many volunteer opportunities offered;
  • Participate in at least three special volunteer opportunities offered each year to stay a current member.
The Library is at 53 S. Cliff St.

Teen Book Club to hold 4 meetings at Seymour Public Library


SEYMOUR - Teen Book Club meetings are slated at Seymour Public Library for young adults in Grades 7 and up. 
Dates are March 6, April 10, May 1, and June 5. Time is 4-4:45 p.m.
Age appropriate books will be selected from the YA section of the library.
Registration is required for this program.
