All proceeds will support the Shelton Police Association Scholarship Fund, helping students in need from the Shelton School System.

Leah Rondon's Birthday Bash slated Feb. 1 in Bridgeport

ANSONIA - Leah's Birthday Bash will be held Feb. 1 at Kolbe Cathedral High School, 33 Calhoun Place, Bridgeport.
Leah Rondon was an Ansonia resident. She was about to enter first grade at John C. Mead Elementary School when she tragically died Aug. 20, 2015 in a car accident.

The annual fundraiser includes carnival games, crafts, face painting, raffles, performances, and more!
All proceeds will benefit the Leah Rondon Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Seymour Pink establishes scholarship honoring Brookside Inn owners

Seymour Pink, Inc. is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2010 but the concept began in 2007 when Sara and Gary Morgatto, owners of the Brookside Inn in Oxford, agreed to host a pasta dinner to help raise money for a breast cancer walk that Mary Deming, founder of Seymour Pink, Inc., was participating in that year. 

The Morgattos have hosted Seymour Pink’s annual pasta dinner now for 11 years and in thanks and appreciation of their generosity, the Board of Seymour Pink has established a scholarship in their honor.

This year the Board of Directors’ of Seymour Pink will be offering a $500 scholarship in the Morgattos honor to a deserving college-bound student.

Shelton Gaels Alumni to hold golf tournament

Birthday bash to benefit scholarship fund in memory of Ansonia child

The Leah Rondon Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a graduating female student at Kolbe Cathedral High School. Leah's father, Ansonia resident Henry Rondon, is an administrator there. 

A Dragonfly Dash 5K walk and two-mile run was held last spring in the Hilltop neighborhood of Ansonia to benefit a fund in Leah's memory at the Valley Community Foundation.

Leah, 6, died after being struck by a car Aug. 20, 2015 on Ford Street in Ansonia. Her birthday was Jan. 30.
