Derby Neck Library to host Crafternoon fun Sunday

DERBY - Join Emily at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Derby Neck Library for a seashell trinket dish craft! 

Paint a seashell with a design of your choice and create the perfect place to hold keys, jewelry, loose change, or other small treasures.

Advance registration is required and seats are extremely limited. Call 203-734-1492 or visit the Circulation Desk to sign up. Event for ages 16+.

DERBY - Join Kate at Derby Neck Library for a DIY Zone program from 2:30-4 p.m. Sunday and learn to use the supplies, equipment, and machinery in our adult DIY Zone!

Each session will focus on a new activity or skill.

Advance registration may be required for some events. Ages 14+ only.

Derby Neck Library to host Sunday Crafternoon fun

DERBY - Learn how to use Derby Neck Library’s Cricut vinyl-cutting machine Sunday to make templates for screen-printing custom designs onto clothing, fabric, and more. 

The program runs from 2:30-4 p.m.

You’ll have a chance to select and prepare a small screen-print design, or you can use our full-sized DNL logo screen to make your own Derby Neck merch! Ages 14+. 

Registration is required. The Library is at 307 Hawthorne Ave.

Derby Neck Library to host crafternoon for kids Sunday

DERBY - Get ready for a special Kids Crafternoon at Derby Neck Library.

Our friends from the Southford Falls Quilters will be joining us at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, to teach kids ages 8-12 how to hand-stitch their own book totes!

This awesome event was made possible by a grant from the Valley Community Foundation to inspire the next generation of quilters.

SHELTON - Registration for May's Crafternoon: DIY Slime is open! 

Children ages 5 and up can come to the Huntington Branch Library May 17 to make their own slime! The Library is at 41 Church St.

We will provide the materials and in person instruction. Each child must register individually. 

Caregivers must remain with children ages 12 and under for the duration of the program.

SHELTON - Registration is now open for Crafternoon: Shrinky Dinks.

Children ages 5 and up can come to the Huntington Branch Library at 5 p.m. March 22 to make their own keychain, pin, or earrings out of Shrinky Dinks! 

We will provide the materials and in person instruction. **An oven will be in use, please keep this in mind when registering.** 

Each child must register individually. Caregivers must remain with children ages 12 and under for the duration of the program.
