Tree lighting tradition slated on Huntington Green in Shelton

SHELTON - An Annual Tree Lighting will be held at 5 p.m. Dec. 5 on the Huntington Green.
RJS Event Designs (holiday decorators) is hosting the event. 
The free event will include Christmas music, hot cocoa, and cookies.
Mayor Mark Lauretti will be on hand and Santa will stop by on a firetruck from Huntington Fire Company No. 3.
The event will be held rain or shine.
A big thank you goes to Jones Family Farms, Shelton Parks and Rec, Huntington Fire Company No 3., and the City of Shelton.

Forecast cancels Naugatuck Community Choir concert for tonight

No sooner had I received the above flier this afternoon than I received another email saying tonight's concert is cancelled due to the impending snow.

The choir director, Mark Silva, said he hopes the community will attend the Sunday performance at Naugatuck Congregational Church, 9 Division St., Naugatuck.

Naugatuck Community Choir to offer winter concerts this weekend

Our 20th Anniversary Winter Concerts will be held Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, 182 Robbins St., Waterbury, and ​Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Congregational Church, 9 Division St., Naugatuck.
Please join us for an evening of fellowship and wonderful Christmas music such as:

Christmas Bells are Ringing - Mark Hayes
Candlelight Carol - John Rutter
