Ansonia mayor promotes breast cancer awareness
ANSONIA - Mayor David S. Cassetti has requested that all City Hall employees wear pink and/or any pins or symbols every Wednesday for the rest of the month of October, to mark National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
In his memo to employees Cassetti said: “In 2014, there were more than 2.8 million women with a history of breast cancer in the U.S. This includes women currently being treated and women who have finished treatment."
As a breast cancer survivor I appreciate all efforts to promote awareness of this horrible disease that touches so many lives.
