Firefighters to sell T-shirts at Ansonia harvest fest

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Hilltop Hose Company firefighter John Fulton models a shirt.

ANSONIA - How cool is this?
On Wednesday I met three members of Hilltop Hose Company who were participating in an International Walk to School Day event at John C. Mead Elementary School.

They told me they will sell these T-shirts Saturday at the city's 11th annual Harvest Festival to be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Main Street.

The shirts are $15, with $3.50 from each purchase going to The Hewitt Center for Breast Wellness at Griffin Hospital in Derby.

I applaud the firefighters for promoting breast cancer awareness and for raising funds for the cause.
