'Turnback Tuesday' (on Wednesday) features Derby High School yearbooks
Turnback Tuesday is reposting its feature on the “Lookout,” Derby High School's yearbook.
The Derby Public Library is looking to complete its collection of Derby High School yearbooks.
The logo is of a Clipper Ship like the ones built in Derby. (The "lookout" was another name for the crow’s nest.) The Library has copies dating back to 1901, which started out as publications from the high school students themselves talking about school activities, etc.
The first "Lookout" was in 1935 and included student photos. Missing years are 1938, 1999, 2001 and 2006.
Please contact the us if you have a copy of these you are willing to donate.
Thanks as always to Derby Public Library staff for sharing interesting local history.
