Shelton-Derby Fireworks, concert slated Friday at Veterans Memorial Park

SHELTON - The Shelton-Derby Fireworks will take place Friday, July 1 at Veterans Memorial Park.

A special concert with Darik & The Funbags will start at 7 p.m. with fireworks following, starting at approximately 9:20 p.m.

*Howe Avenue in the area of Veterans Park will close at 7:30 p.m.

The municipal lot on Howe Avenue will be available for handicap parking and those who have received parking passes from Parks & Recreation.

In the event of rain, the fireworks will take place the following day.

The Bernadettes to perform Wednesday in Beacon Falls

BEACON FALLS - The Bernadettes return to Beacon Falls in concert at 6 p.m. Wednesday for an evening of outdoor music and fun!!! Bring the whole family down and enjoy some togetherness, fun, and fantastic music!!! Bring a lawn chair or sit on the grass!!!
