"Mayor [David] Cassetti invites residents to visit beautiful Coe Pond at Colony (aka Abe Stone) Park. Bring your fishing pole and take a stroll around the pond and enjoy nature on this great summer day.
"Don’t forget to grab a blanket and bring the family for a perfect picnic! Location is Colony Road, off of Route 115 (North Main heading towards Seymour)."
The music festival will run from 4-10:30 p.m. July 28 at Nolan Field on Wakelee Avenue in Ansonia.
BEACON FALLS - Families are invited to take some time to unplug from 1-3 p.m. Friday at Beacon Falls Public Library.
Get out of the house and play at the library! Bring your favorite game or play one of ours. Share your expertise and develop new strategies for gaming and learning.

I meant to share this last week when I saw it on Derby Mayor Rich Dziekan's Facebook page. It's a beautiful painting of the historic cobblestone hill on Caroline Street in downtown Derby.
From Dziekan:
"A special thank you to Neil Dorso and his wife Barbara for presenting me with her painting of Caroline Street. Notice the detail in the cobblestones that used to adorn the surface. This looks great on my office wall."
A New Haven Register story was published in September 2016 about the removal of the cobblestones.
