Derby Public Library slates virtual program on cutting the cord on Cable TV

DERBY - Want to break the expensive and often frustrating cable service cycle and gain lower costs, greater control, and a vastly expanded selection of entertainment and communication choices?
James Gifford will teach attendees at 2 p.m. June 12 in a virtual program sponsored by Derby Public Library how to get out of a cable service agreement, find and negotiate the best internet/broadband access deal, and get started with streaming services for a vast range of entertainment options, many of which are free!
You don't need advanced technical expertise - just the right information!
If you're tired of endless rate increases and shell games with service and programming terms, cut your expense and take control.
Come learn how to "Cut the Cord.”
Register here https://bit.ly/2Qpj4Mx by 4:30 p.m on June 11 to receive Zoom link and password.

TEAM's 13th annual Men Who Cook fundraiser to go virtual this year

Sharing from TEAM, Inc.'s Facebook page:

TEAM’s signature fundraiser, Men Who Cook, will go virtual!

We will all miss the men who prepare delicious dishes as well as the fun atmosphere of gathering with friends and family.
We have decided to still have a fundraiser because your donation is needed more than ever!
This will be our first fundraiser of the year.
We will have community members who have taken their time to demonstrate how they prepare their “go to dishes”.
We will premier these videos on Sept. 26 at 6 p.m. on our Facebook and Instagram.
Please stay tuned for more information.
We want to thank our sponsors who continue to support us.
