Recuperation journey: Around the yard - Part 87

Gordon has been hanging around the yard lately. It has to be the mulberries falling off the tree! They're always a big hit with wildlife friends.

Recuperation journey: Looking at the sky

 ... at 5:50 p.m.

The moon today is in waxing gibbous phase and is 76 percent illuminated.

Have a peaceful evening.

Recuperation journey: Looking for peanuts

The blue jays wait every day for me to put peanuts out. They swoop down and grab them before I can get back in the house - and before the squirrels can get any!

Recuperation journey: Fun in the sun

This morning I put the flowers in the shade. At about 2:30 I looked outside and there was Gerald checking out the front yard.

I was able to grab a pic through the door before he took off.

I hope he's hydrating in this heat!

Recuperation journey: Here's looking at you

And I always thought the mulberry tree was friendly!

Sadly part of it is going to get cut back in the near future because some of its branches are too close to power lines.

Recuperation journey: Good morning

I missed the sunrise again but I had to take some photos! The leaves are finally starting to appear on the mulberry tree.
Have a great Blursday.

Recuperation journey: Looking at the sky

... on a weird weather day in May.

Our mulberry tree (above) is the last one to turn green in the spring and the first to lose its leaves in the fall.

Recuperation journey: Too quick!

I opened the front door and this guy was on a branch in the mulberry tree.
By the time I ran to get the camera he had moved. And then he moved again.
Too quick for me.

Photos taken through a glass door. Best I could do!
