Morbid Curiosity Book Club to meet Thursday at Derby Neck Library


DERBY - Join Kate at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the Community Room of Derby Neck Library for a lively discussion of Helltown: The Untold Story of a Serial Killer on Cape Cod by Casey Sherman.

Morbid Curiosity Book Club to meet at Derby Neck Library


DERBY -The Morbid Curiosity Book Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Derby Neck Library to discuss Ghostland: An American History in Haunted Places by Colin Dickey. 

From the infamous “most haunted” hotels, mansions, and prisons to privately owned homes and quiet cemeteries, Colin Dickey is determined to investigate the power that ghost stories hold over our collective consciousness.

Storyteller to present New England Legends program at Derby Public Library


DERBY - LIVE and IN-PERSON at Derby Public Library!
Based on Jeff’s popular weekly podcast and his Emmy-nominated television series on PBS and Amazon Prime, the program presents highlights from his own adventures and work. The bizarre is closer than you think!
For over 20 years, Jeff has been exploring the unexplained. He seeks out history, folklore, ghosts, monsters, and legends all over the world and in your backyard. 
New England Legends offers a tour of haunts, monsters, aliens, and weird history from our region. 
Drawing from a library of hundreds of legends, this program is different every time it’s given.

Oxford Public Library to present ghost hunter's virtual presentation


OXFORD - Haunted Happenings: A Ghost Hunter’s Favorite Cases featuring Barry Pirro will be presented at 5 p.m. Saturday.
Join Oxford Public Library's virtual program. You will be emailed the link to connect to the discussion once you register.

Paranormal investigator Barry Pirro has investigated hundreds of haunted houses, businesses, and historic sites.
He has also been a consultant for paranormal TV shows Ghost Adventures, Ghost Nation, Kindred Spirits, and Paranormal Survivor.
Join Barry as he discusses some of his most chilling cases of ghosts, demons, and haunted objects. In addition, hear real ghost voices recorded during ghost investigations, and watch an amazing video of a ghost captured on film.

Participants will also have a chance to ask questions about ghost hunting, and to share their own true ghost stories.

Beacon Falls Public Library to host CT Paranormal Society

BEACON FALLS - Have you ever felt like you’ve been sharing space with a ghost?

Derby Neck Library to host ghostly presentation


DERBY - Donna Kent, founder of The Cosmic Society of Paranormal Investigation and Cosmic Society.com, will present a free program on her experiences of ghostly presences at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 15 at Derby Neck Library. 

Kent gives photo and video evidence of her unusual findings. 

She is the author of “Ghost Stories and Legends of Eastern Connecticut” and “Ghost Stories and Legends of Southeastern Connecticut.”

Seymour Public Library to present ghostly program

SEYMOUR -The Seymour Public Library will host a free program, When Ghosts Appear, History Speaks, at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 20.

The event is presented by the Northeast Paranormal Investigation Society.

The NPIS is an established, Connecticut-based paranormal investigations team which conducts research and scientific investigations of historic venues throughout the Northeast region of the United States.

The team will present some of their most interesting cases.

Ghostly captures topic of talk at Derby Library

DERBY - The Derby Public Library has scheduled Ghostly Photographs, at 6:30 p.m.
Nov. 10.

Julie Griffin, photographer and paranormal investigator, will present the program.

With the hope of capturing more evidence for the existence of a spirit world, Griffin has visited many locations reportedly haunted, including Derby's own Sterling Opera House on Elizabeth Street.

These intense personal experiences have resulted in many stories to tell. 

Her presentation includes photos, along with an explanation of the photography techniques used.

Ages 16 and over are invited to hear real ghost stories you can see with your own eyes.
Registration is required.
