Recuperation journey: Wildlife stops traffic

This photo came up in my Facebook memories from this date in 2017.

I came upon this gaggle as they were crossing Central Street in Ansonia. These geese caused quite a traffic tie-up.

Recuperation journey: Sunny Saturday afternoon

Pickett's Pond at Osbornedale State Park in Derby.

Balancing act.

I spied this guy on the grounds of the Osborne Homestead Museum in Derby.
Snapped photo through the posts of a wrought iron fence. It was a challenge to keep up with him!

Recuperation journey: Rainy Saturday morning

I thought there was going to be a ribbon cutting ceremony happening at 10 a.m. today to celebrate the opening of the extension of the Ansonia Riverwalk.

But it will be held another day. Stay tuned.

The good news is on my way there I had to stop for some wildlife crossing my path. Photo time!

Recuperation journey: Another closeup at the pond

After taking a second look at my photos from today I realized I had another closeup of geese hanging out in Pickett's Pond in Derby to share.

Recuperation journey: Be careful where you step

... at Osbornedale State Park in Derby
Following the leader, taking a dip at Pickett's Pond.
Striking a regal pose in 94-degree heat Thursday afternoon.

Thankfully I didn't make a misstep, but it was close. Since it was rather warm in the sun, my communing with nature idea lasted but a few minutes.

Enjoying the outdoors in October when it's not so hot will prove more therapeutic!
