Work has begun to improve playground at Gatison Park in Ansonia

Ansonia Mayor David S. Cassetti and Superintendent Tim Holman check out the work that is starting at Gatison Park.

Creative Recreations, LLC is supplying the new playground equipment. The old playground equipment has been removed to make way for the improvements.

Dinner at O'Brien Tech to support church's Honor Ansonia Blue fundraiser


The Rev. John Hinson, pastor, First Baptist Church of Ansonia, and his wife, Maude, are planning their third annual Honor Ansonia Blue fundraiser at 4 p.m. Oct. 4 at the church, 141 Prindle Ave. 
Their goal is to raise $40,000 to purchase life-saving equipment for the Ansonia Police Department.

Ansonia Little League seeks donations for tag sale at Armory


Sharing information from a Facebook event page: 

ANSONIA - Donate any gently used baseball or softball equipment to be sold by ALL in a tag sale. 
All proceeds go towards the league. Items to donate: pants, cleats, helmets, bags,
fielding and batting gloves, softball face masks.
Please bring all donations to the Armory during clinics from 6-8 p.m. today, Feb. 28 through March 9. 
The tag sale will be held from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. March 10. The Armory is at 5 State St.
