The Bernadettes to perform Tuesday on Derby Green

The Bernadettes will perform R&B, Soul, Funk, and Eclectic Dance music from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday on the Derby Green. 

Rain date is Wednesday.

Seymour Public Library to present country, rock, R&B concert

All Funk'd Up kicks off Ansonia summer concert series

All Funk'd Up performs Wednesday at Veterans Memorial Park in Ansonia.

ANSONIA - The five members of the Higganum-based band, All Funk'd Up, offered an energetic performance Wednesday at Veterans Memorial Park.

They played R&B, Motown, Disco, and Pop tunes and were 
the perfect start to the city's free summer concert series. 

Here's a video of them performing Taste of Honey's "Boogie Oogie Oogie" from 1978.

And here's 1974's "Hollywood Swinging" from Kool and the Gang.

Great concert! 
It was their third appearance at Ansonia's summer series and they will return Aug. 20 when they play at "Rock the Valley" at Nolan Field.

Since my husband, Ralph, is chairman of the Ansonia Cultural Commission I have updated schedule info: the Aug. 3 concert will be a performance by the Cheshire-based Southern Voice.

The Bernadettes offer a great concert on the Derby Green

The fantastic New Haven-based R&B band The Bernadettes performed on the Derby Green Saturday during the annual Derby Day street festival. Here lead vocalist Bryan D. Kearney sings to the crowd. 

My daughter Allegra and I enjoyed relaxing on the Green and listening to The Bernadettes. I can't wait to see them perform again! It's always a great show. 

And the weather Saturday couldn't have been more perfect for an outdoor concert.

Shelton slates summer concerts on Huntington Green

SHELTON - "Music Under The Stars Summer Concert Series" will run until Aug. 26. 
The concerts will be held on Wednesdays on the Huntington Green from 7-9 p.m. 

Information/cancellation line is 203-331-4120. Rain dates will be on Thursdays.

July 22 - Gunsmoke (Classic Country)

July 29 - Backbeat (Classic Rock)

Aug. 5 - Mia & The Riff (Soul/R&B) and  Lynn Lewis and Friends (Children's Show) at 6 p.m.

Aug. 12 - Radio Waves (Dance)

Aug.19 - Midnight Rodeo (New Country)

Aug. 26 - Little Big Band (Big Band)
