Turnback Tuesday takes a different look at the Derby-Shelton Bridge.
The image looks towards Shelton, and is printed on a demitasse cup, 2” wide by 2” tall. The word "demitasse" is French and means "half cup," as in half cup of coffee, typically holding 2 to 3 oz.
The cup was made in Germany and sold through Kamak’s Bargain House, dealers in tin ware and crockery, located at 181-185 Main St., Derby.
It was donated to the library by Arthur Bogen.
Thanks goes to Derby Public Library staff for sharing interesting local history each week!
