Recuperation journey: Toast à la Français

It seems lots of folks like to make French toast on snowy mornings and today I thought I'd give it a whirl.

It didn't go too well.  

The image posted here is not a photo of what I prepared for my family! I only wish it looked that good.

Note to self: Use semi-stale bread next time I make French toast. 
My milk-egg-vanilla-cinnamon concoction was tasty but soggy. My husband said it was like eating "skillet bread pudding."
