Derby Historical Society slates annual appeal, talk on witch hunting in CT

DERBY - The Ansonia-based Derby Historical Society will hold its 27th Annual Appeal at 5 p.m. Nov. 20 at La Sala Banquet Hall, 73 High St. 
Tickets are $45. 
Dinner will include stations of appetizers, chicken marsala, potatoes, salad, and pasta. 

Guest speaker will be Dr. Richard Ross, professor emeritus and former college Librarian at Trinity College. He will discuss his book, "Before Salem: Witch Hunting in the CT River Valley 1647-1663."

Ansonia resident Diane Stroman, executive vice president of TEAM, Inc. will receive the prestigious John I. Howe Award.
