Shops at Seymour to celebrate Dog Days of Summer

"Please join us as we celebrate the Dog Days of Summer and support animal charities. A portion of all sales will be donated to the Ansonia Animal Shelter and Hometown Foundation.
"We will also be collecting pet food, toys, towels, and blankets for Seymour CARES."

The celebration will be held from 5-8 p.m. Aug. 23 at 19 Bank St., Seymour.

Kids can register to read to Ollie at Derby Public Library

Ollie is ready to listen.
DERBY - Children ages 4-11 will get an opportunity to read to Ollie at 1 p.m. Aug. 20 at Derby Public Library. 
They are welcome to be part of the popular B.A.R.K. (Be A Reading Kid) program at the Library, 313 Elizabeth St.
It's a great opportunity for beginner or reluctant readers - as well as experienced readers - to build confidence, enhance literacy skills, and develop a love of reading.
Children will be given a 10-minute time slot to read and may select a book from Ollie’s Book Picks to share with him for the program.

Ansonia, Connecticut Cult Classics team to present film at Nolan Field

ANSONIA - On Sept. 21, join us at Nolan Field as we team up with the City of Ansonia to bring you a free presentation of "Teen Wolf"!
We'll be starting at 7 p.m. with food trucks, vendors and assorted fun.
Then we'll start trailers and films once it's dark enough.
Come on down and have a great time!
Rain date is Sept. 28.
