Beacon Falls Public Library to hold Tie-Dye Party to kick off summer reading
BEACON FALLS - This program will be held outside the Town Hall, 10 Maple Ave. Registration is required- please sign up for a time slot on Eventbrite or in the library, 10 Maple Ave., when signing up for the Summer Reading Program.

Hewitt Center at Griffin Hospital in Derby to offer Saturday hours for mammograms
The United States Preventive Services Task Force recommends that women who are 50 to 74 years old and are at average risk for breast cancer get a mammogram every two years. Women who are 40 to 49 years old should talk to their doctor or other healthcare professional about when to start and how often to get a mammogram. Derby Neck Library to host 'Horizon Wings' program in garden
DERBY - Ever wish you could experience the thrill of being up close to a magnificent eagle, hawk, falcon, or owl?
Now is your chance! Horizon Wings is bringing a few of these extraordinary birds right to our garden [at Derby Neck Library, 307 Hawthorne Ave.]
While this in-person all-ages program is outdoors in our garden, masks are still required for anyone over the age of two and we recommend you bring a blanket to sit on to help us enforce social distancing.
Beacon Falls Public Library to host study break program with reptiles
BEACON FALLS - Beacon Falls Public Library will host a low-key, low-stress program from 2-3 p.m. Saturday that allows for hands-on time with some very chill lizards.
Due to the nature of this program, it is limited to current Grades 6-12. There can be no exceptions. Space is very limited; registration is required.
This program is in person (to be held outdoors), and will require masks, and social distancing when possible.
Participants must be able to be responsible about following safety guidelines and follow instructions about the handling of the reptiles.
The Library is at 10 Maple Ave.
