Recuperation journey: Sunday search for fall foliage

... without much luck
The sun kept going behind the clouds Sunday afternoon.
The first two photos are from Osbornedale State Park in Derby.

And my go-to spot on the other side of Derby, Witek Park reservoir. I did see more color there Sunday than I had seen a few days ago.

Recuperation journey: How does your garden grow?

Hopefully it grows better than mine!

I'm sharing before and after photos of a lovely, two-color marigold plant purchased last spring.
  Before

 After  😕

I watered it faithfully and it did well for quite a while ... not sure where I went wrong but I guess I should have planted it.
Gardening? It's hit or miss for an amateur like myself.
But I'll keep trying.

Movie about Charlton Comics is topic of talk at Derby Public Library

DERBY - The Derby Public Library will host a presentation by the producers of the upcoming feature-length documentary about Derby’s Charlton Comics entitled “Charlton Comics: The Movie.”
The presentation will be held at 6:30 p.m. Nov.14 at the library, 313 Elizabeth St. Keith Larson and Jackie Zbuska will discuss the production of the movie, show some footage from the film, and talk about the history of Charlton and recent resurrection of the comic’s brand under the mantle of Charlton Neo Media.

Founded by John Santangelo Sr. and Ed Levy, Division Street, Derby was home to Charlton Comics from 1945 to 1986, controlling all areas
of its publishing, from editorial to printing. The
company has become legendary in the comic industry. Unknown to most is the long list of renowned comic book talent that once worked for Charlton, including Steve Ditko who went on to co-create Spider-Man and Dick Giordano who became an executive at DC comics.
