Recuperation journey: How smart is my cat?

My cat is so smart ...

He jumps up on the kitchen chair so husband Ralph, who uses a wheelchair, can reach him for head scritches.

That's how smart Linus is.

Recuperation journey: It's that cat again

Just noticed three hours after I published a blog post this morning there were typos that magically got into the text.
I realized since they were created with the letters 'a' and 'q' located on the left-hand side of the keyboard that Linus had been sitting right there before I saved the post.

He ruins everything! Well not everything, but he does get into mischief around here from time to time.

Recuperation journey: Attend to me

Linus: I'm hungry! I need lunch!

Me: Eat your dry food. It's only 11:40 a.m.

And so it goes. At about the same time every day. He hops up on my desk and stares.

Recuperation journey: Cat enjoys sock drawer

Why yes, Linus is making me wackier by the day.
As you can see we let him frolic in Ralph's sock drawer. It's a cozy place for a cat nap.

Recuperation journey: Waking up

... to the dulcet tones of your cat heaving in the hallway.

On a day - no less - when we turned the clocks back and we're supposed to get another hour of beautiful sleep.

The fun never ends. And apparently neither does the sleep deprivation.

Recuperation journey: Nocturnal 'fun' with furry friend

Regular readers of my post-kidney transplant journey may recall the anti-rejection meds I take have an unwelcome side effect: interrupted sleep.
Dare I say sleep deprivation is not fun.

Happily for the past week I've been doing much better. Until last night, when furry friend Linus woke me up.
Are you talking about me?

But the way he did was so cute that I couldn't get upset.
He was snuggled against me and I woke up because he was snurring loudly.
Snurring is how we describe a combination of snoring and purring. Linus does it often and I find it adorable.

Recuperation journey: Our hero

We went to the diner last night and when we returned we naturally got scolded by our feline friend for leaving him alone.
😾

But we happened to let in a moth when we opened the front door, and that made Linus forget about being mad at us.
He was on duty! He stalked the moth, quickly jumped up and caught it, then had a tasty (to him anyway) treat.
Linus is an indoor cat - a real softy - and runs away from an open door.
I cannot imagine him killing a bird or a mouse or a chipmunk in the great outdoors. But I suppose if he were out there instinct would kick in!

Thanks, Linus, for disposing of that terror for us.

Hectic evening

Resting up for a big night of TV viewing.
On Friday I posted Hectic morning so I thought I'd follow up today with Hectic evening.
