DERBY - Join us Tuesday at Derby Neck Library for Storycraft. We are reading a dino-tale, then making sticker-saurus art!

All ages are welcomed, and registration is not required.

Jurassic Classroom to visit Seymour Public Library Friday

SEYMOUR - Jurassic Classroom presents “Amazing Adaptations” at 3 p.m Friday at Seymour Public Library.

Crests, horns, frills, plates, spikes, spines, teeth, claws: when it comes to adaptations, dinosaurs are the all time winners! Children will get to observe some of the amazing adaptations for themselves, and use their science skills to figure out what they were for. 

This program is ideal for children 7 and older.

Derby Neck Library to kick off summer reading program 'The Big Dig' Monday

 

DERBY - Join us [Monday at Derby Neck Library] for our annual summer kickoff party, which begins our summer programming series and reading incentives. 

We'll have free food, live music, and loads of crafts and activities, including an outdoor Big Dig for dinosaur fossils and gems in our sandbox.

Seymour Public Library to host Michele Urban Music dinosaur fun

SEYMOUR - Families with children of all ages will be roaring with delight at a music program at 10:30 a.m. March 20 at Seymour Public Library! 

Join Michele Urban Music on a dino-mite, prehistoric, music adventure. 

Find your own dinosaur roar as you stomp, chomp, dance, and sing along to Michele’s silly dino-songs that explore important SEL themes, like feelings, fears, diversity, kindness, and inclusion. 

And, of course, kids have tons of fun sharing knowledge of dinosaur facts!

Plumb Memorial Library in Shelton to host T-Rex Tea Party

Time: 11 a.m.-12 p.m.

SHELTON - You are cordially invited to Plumb Memorial Library's first T-Rex Tea! 

Come dressed fancy or as a dinosaur or as a fancy dinosaur as Miss Maura kicks off our party with a funny story! 

Then tea party participants will engage in hands-on dino activities and finish up with snack and tea too! Caregivers must remain with their children for program duration.

Plumb Memorial Library in Shelton hosts 'Book Buddies Book Chat'

SHELTON - Kindergartners,1st and 2nd graders and their caregivers are welcome to join us for a unique family book club: "Book Buddies Book Chat" in Plumb Memorial Library, 65 Wooster St. The next monthly meeting will be from 6:30-7:30 p.m. March 23.
The theme for March is Dinosaurs!

Each month together we will read books one fiction and one nonfiction book based on a theme, then have book discussions, engage in book-related activities plus each registered child will receive FREE copies of the books we shared to keep!

Caregivers must remain with their children for program duration.
