ANSONIA - Congratulations to our cheer team on winning the NVL Championship! 

This is the first time in school history that we have earned this title. Coach Jen has now won every championship during her tenure, including State and New England Championships.

Congratulations to the AHS Cheerleaders who won the Class S state championship Saturday for the second consecutive year. This is the sixth state title in school history and the first back to back title. (1999, 2002, 2007, 2017, 2023, 2024)

Derby to honor 3 championship cheerleading squads Saturday

Sharing from the City of Derby:

DERBY - The City, the Derby school system, and Derby Pop Warner have combined to organize a firetruck-led convoy for 10 a.m. Saturday in honor of the city's three Pop Warner National Championship Cheerleading squads. 

The procession will start at Bradley School and end at Derby Middle School. 
Coffee, cocoa, and cookies will be served in the cafeteria. 
Mayor Richard Dziekan and the rest of the city are looking forward to celebrating this momentous achievement.

Ansonia cheerleaders win Class S state championship

Congratulations to the Lady Chargers! 
They earned the championship title Friday at the state competition in New Haven, led by their coach Megan O'Reilly.
