Ansonia Library to host Creating Musical Readers program, trombonist performance

ANSONIA - Come learn all about the trombone from New Haven Symphony Orchestra's Scott Cranston this Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Ansonia Library! It's gonna be a toot!

Derby Public Library to host creating musical readers program

DERBY - The next Creating Musical Readers program for ages 4-10 by the New Haven Symphony Orchestra will be held from 9:15-10:15 a.m. Nov. 12 at Derby Public Library.

The orchestra's series features a different musician and instrument each month along with a story. 

This month Julia Henderson plays the cello and reads the book Manuelo, the Playing Mantis.

Ansonia Library event to feature violinist, tale from China

ANSONIA - Please join us at 11 a.m. Dec. 11 at the Ansonia Library in welcoming The New Haven Symphony Orchestra's own Anna Leunis as she bridges music, culture, and literacy into an 

event for all ages!

We will hear the story of Lon Po Po, a Little Red Riding Hood tale from China, while Anna Leunis colors the story with her violin playing throughout.
