Derby Historical Society to hold annual luncheon, awards presentation









The Derby Historical Society Annual Meeting Luncheon and Awards Presentation


Sunday, April 21

1 p.m.

J.R. Payden Field House, 75 Chatfield St., Derby 


The William Payden Sports Memorabilia Museum  will be open for viewing 30 minutes prior to and 30 minutes following the event.

 

This year’s awards recipients are:

Dorothy Larson Award

The 6th CT Regiment

David Humphreys Service Award

Albert Misiewicz

Dr. John I. Howe Award

Quail and Ale

 

Tickets are $40 per person and can be purchased online below or by sending a check to:

To make the Derby Historical Society’s Awards Program memorable for all of our honorees, we are producing a keepsake Annual Report and Program Book. 

Don’t miss your opportunity to be included as a supporter of our honorees for their contribution to keeping our history alive for future generations. You are invited to place a congratulatory message, advertisement or memoriam in our program.

The program size will be 8.5″x 11″. Prices range from $25 – $100. Photos must be in .jpeg format and can be emailed to kellie@derbyhistorical.org.

The Dr. John I. Howe Award

 

THE VALLEY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

The Dr. John I. Howe Award is awarded to a businessman or woman, individual, group, firm, corporation, or industry whose presence has consistently benefited one or more communities in the Valley region in the spirit of its namesake. This benefit is either through activism, perseverance, and/or philanthropy to the extent that the Derby Historical Society recognizes that they will be remembered in an historical context by future generations.
