Waterbury man found in Colony Park in Ansonia with drugs, stolen handgun

ANSONIA - Police investigated a suspicious activity complaint at about 3:45 p.m. Jan. 4 at Colony Park.
Officers located two males in the parking lot and one of them provided his proper date of birth but a false name. 
The male was later identified as Jeremiah Perkins, 24, of Waterbury, police said. 
He was found to be in possession of 350 folds of fentanyl, 2.5 grams of crack cocaine, a 9mm Beretta handgun reported stolen from a home in Ansonia and $3,640 in cash.

Perkins was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of fentanyl, possession of crack cocaine, criminal possession of a firearm, and stealing a firearm. 
He posted a $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear Jan. 18 at Derby Superior Court.
