Ansonia Police charge 2 with unlawful discharge, interfering after shots fired

ANSONIA - Two people were charged with firing a gun after Ansonia Police received a call of shots fired at 3:40 a.m. Sunday in the area of Beaver Street near the Seymour town line, Lt. Patrick Lynch said in a written release. 

The first officer on scene found a truck parked off the road near the woods and when the officer exited the cruiser, two people ran into the woods. The officer was able to detain the first person but the second person remained in the woods for over an hour before coming out, Lynch said

The two people, identified as Jesse Bonavia and Brianna Solsbury, admitted to firing a gun owned by Bonavia and officers recovered the gun as well as shell casings, Lynch said.


Bonavia, 29, of Hamden was charged with unlawful discharge and interfering. 

Solsbury, 29, of Waterbury was charged with unlawful discharge and Interfering. 


They both were released on $5,000 bonds and are both scheduled to appear June 27 at Derby Superior Court.
