CT Firefighters Association honors Logan with 'Legislator of the Year' award

State Sen. George S. Logan
HARTFORD - State Sen. George S. Logan, R-Ansonia, has received the “Legislator of the Year” award from the 26,000-member Connecticut State Firefighters Association.

The Connecticut State Firefighters Association honored Logan for his advocacy on behalf of the Valley Fire School, his participation in the Fire/EMS Caucus, and his legislative proposal to help increase racial diversity in the hiring of firefighters statewide.
“I’m humbled to receive this recognition, but the fact is that our firefighters are heroes who put their lives on the line every day,” Logan said. “They do it to protect our loved ones, our communities, and our property. At the State Capitol, I will continue to do all I can to help them do the jobs that they do so well.”

Logan received the honor at the Connecticut State Firefighters Association’s Sept. 15 convention at Company One, Avon Fire Department.

Logan can be reached at George.Logan@cga.ct.gov or 800-842-1421.
Logan (www.SenatorGeorgeLogan.com) represents the 17th District, including Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Bethany, Derby, Hamden, Naugatuck, and Woodbridge.
