Derby PD to host car seat safety event

DERBY - The Derby Police Department will host a free event Sunday to promote child car seat safety as part of “Child Passenger Safety Week.”

Parents and caregivers can go to the Derby PD for an educational inspection and demonstration to ensure that any car seats in their vehicles are properly installed.

The event will be held at the Derby Police Department, 125 Water St., from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., by appointment only.
