Ansonia Mayor David S. Cassetti was on hand Friday with friends and staff to wish Allison Rubelmann ("Ali") a happy 25th year of service to the residents of Ansonia.
Ali is the Director of the Ansonia Nature and Recreation Center.
"Thank you Ali for your kindness, commitment and dedication to our residents and to all the children whose lives you have touched. You do a wonderful job for our City and we are forever grateful!" Cassetti said.

Dinner at Munch Eatery in Ansonia to benefit AHS Global Scholars' trip to Italy


Please help us get to Italy!

The Ansonia High School (AHS) Global Scholars, with the support of Munch Eatery, are hosting a fundraiser dinner on Sunday, March 10.

The AHS Global Scholars are heading to Italy in April and need to raise money to get to and from the airport (transportation cost: $3,250).

Please consider purchasing a ticket ($35 per person) or making a donation to support the 31 students attending this opportunity of a lifetime field trip.

Ansonia Library recruiting Teen Advisory Board members


ANSONIA - Join the Ansonia Library's Teen Advisory Board and collaborate with us by:
  • giving advice on new programs;
  • recommending items for the teen collection;
  • input on summer reading incentives;
  • assisting with programs and special projects.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW?
  • TAB membership is open to Ansonia residents ages 13-18 with parental permission;
  • Try to attend quarterly meetings during the year to learn about the many volunteer opportunities offered;
  • Participate in at least three special volunteer opportunities offered each year to stay a current member.
The Library is at 53 S. Cliff St.
