Ansonia Police continue to probe disappearance of Vanessa Morales

The late Christine Holloway and her daughter, Vanessa Morales, who disappeared 4 years ago.

ANSONA - On Dec. 2, 2019, while our community was preparing for the upcoming holiday season, the Ansonia Police Department began our investigation into the homicide of Christine Holloway and disappearance of Christine’s 15-month-old daughter, Vanessa Morales. 

Police said while the investigation led to the arrest of the father of Vanessa, Jose Morales, for Christine’s homicide, Vanessa has not been located. 

We have continued to investigate the disappearance of Vanessa and the investigation will continue until we can determine what happened to her. 

It has been four years, Vanessa’s family and those that love her deserve answers.

The tree is always a focal point in Veterans Park next to City Hall. 

Ansonia High School students performed classic Christmas songs led by music teacher Maria Tangredi, who urged the crowd to sing along. Everyone knows the words to Jingle Bells and Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer !

It seems some children are braver than others when meeting Santa.

Good Morning Community!!!

Huge thanks to YOU for helping distribute close to 3,000 lbs of food to our neighbors last month !

We are consistently blown away by the way this community rallies together to show up for each other. It’s what makes us proud to live here.

With more holidays coming in December, and the rising cost of heating, we are counting on your continued support to keep the pantry well supplied.

Our consistently most needed items are:

PROTEINS (tuna, chicken, salmon, nuts)

microwave meals (Hormel, chef Boyardee, instant Mac and cheese)

pasta & sauce

canned vegetables

snacks (popcorn, crackers, granola bars)

We will also gladly accept fresh produce, including from your gardens.

Hygiene products like tooth brushes, tooth paste, soap, pads/tampons, and shampoo are also always needed and deeply appreciated.

You can drop off items in person by either placing them directly into the Pantry or into the black donation bin by our garage door. You can also order through our Amazon Wishlist https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/31DQMG6QQ65HX.... OR you can have items shipped or delivered to 58 Skokorat St.

If you are an organization, business, group, or family who would like to adopt filling the pantry for a day , host a food drive , or have a collection box please let us know . We would love to collaborate with you to help meet the steady increase in demand!
