TEAM to hold food box distribution Tuesday at Nolan Field in Ansonia

TOMORROW, EVEN IN THE SNOW, we will distribute FREE USDA fresh food boxes to the Greater Valley households.
The event will take place, Tuesday, Feb. 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (or while supplies last) at Nolan Field (461 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia) - drive up, get your box of fresh foods and go.
TEAM is proud to partner with USDA Farmers to Families Food Box to benefit people who really need help during this difficult time.
Huge thank you to Burns Materials in Ansonia for their donation to the efforts of food insecurity in our Valley.

Ansonia will have regular trash, recycle pickup this week

Derby Public Library to host virtual author talk on 'Yale Football Through the Years'
DERBY - Derby Public Library will host Ansonia resident Rich Marazzi, radio sports talk host, author, and MLB rules consultant as he leads a virtual discussion of the history of Yale University football.
His talk will cover its inception in 1872 to the
present in his new book “Yale Football through the Years.”
The talk will be held from 10-11a.m. Thursday.
The book chronicles a collection of human-interest anecdotes as a sidebar to the game or era covered, giving color to the storied history of Yale football.
The book traces the evolution of rules that transformed a game combining soccer and rugby into the football we know today.
Registration is required to receive the Zoom link and password.
The talk will be held from 10-11a.m. Thursday.

Valley Arts Council seeks artwork donations for fundraising exhibit
CALL FOR ARTISTS: Join us as we launch our Valley Arts Council fundraiser "THE 5'x7' SHOW." We are asking all artists to donate a work of art in any medium, no larger or smaller than 5"x7" to the Main Street Gallery in Ansonia.
All works will be for sale at the standard price of $10.
All proceeds will go to support the VAC! Get in on the fun! Entries accepted through April 30. Exhibit opens May 1.
