Kids' book club offered at Plumb Memorial Library in Shelton


SHELTON - Third and fourth graders are welcome to join "Between the Pages Book Club" in Plumb Memorial Library's Meeting Room, 65 Wooster St.
The next meeting is scheduled for 6:30-7:30 p.m. March 18.
Registration opens March 2 at Plumb Memorial Library's adult desk in person or by phone (203-924-1580) ONLY. Upon registration each registered child will receive a FREE copy of the month's book to read at home.
Caregivers must remain in the library while the child attends the book club.

Valley Community Foundation slates annual reception in Orange


Paint Mandala Stones Saturday at Beacon Falls Library


BEACON FALLS - Young adults can learn to create Mandala stones at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Beacon Falls Public Library, 10 Maple Ave.

Participants will use dot painting techniques to create colorful stones.
Mandalas (meaning circle in Sanskrit), represent the cosmos, self, and unity, and are therapeutic to create and beautiful to look at.

All supplies will be provided.
