Ansonia man, 37, arrested on multiple drug, weapons charges

ANSONIA - A city man was arrested March 18 on drug and gun charges stemming from a duffel bag found in May, 2024 in a hallway of an apartment building at 200 Main St.

Lt. Patrick Lynch said in a written release that Geoffrey Feliciano, 37, of Ansonia was taken into custody March 18 and charged with possession with intent to sell cocaine, possession with intent to sell narcotics, possession with intent to sell controlled substance, possession with intent to sell hallucinogen, possession with intent to sell marijuana, possession of a controlled substance 4 counts, possession of drug paraphernalia, theft of firearm, failure to obtain serial number firearm 4 counts, improper storage of firearm 7 counts, reckless endangerment first degree, and risk of injury. 
Feliciano posted $100,000 bond and he is due to appear April 9, 2025 at Derby Superior Court.

Lynch said when officers recovered the bag they located seven firearms, several different drugs including cocaine, marijuana, fentanyl, methamphetamine, tramadol, and ecstasy, and drug packaging material.
One of the guns in the bag was reported stolen from Trumbull in 2003. 
Detective Kristen Hunt and Detective Shawn Mendenhall continued the investigation using surveillance and video from the surrounding businesses. Lynch said they were able to identify a potential suspect through DNA and Detective Hunt was able to obtain an arrest warrant.

All arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Ansonia man faces weapons, drug charges in March 8 incident

ANSONIA - Police said Eric Warren was arrested by warrant Tuesday after he turned himself in to the Ansonia Police Department for his involvement in the March 8, 2023 gun investigation on Prospect Street in Ansonia.

 

Warren, 50, of Ansonia was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Narcotics, Possession of Narcotics with Intent to Sell, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Disorderly Conduct. 


Two handguns were seized during the service of a search warrant at Warren’s home, also seized was approximately three ounces of crack and packaging materials, police said.

Warren posted a $75,000 bond and was scheduled to appear Wednesday (March 15)  at Derby Superior Court.

Ansonia Police search residence in weapons investigation, deploy distraction devices


From Ansonia Police Department Facebook page this morning:


"At approx. 0500 hours, the Ansonia Police Department with assistance from the CT. State Police executed a search warrant at 104 Prospect Street in relation to a weapons investigation. During the execution of the search warrant, distraction devices were deployed.

Prospect Street was shut down for a short period of time but is now open.

Officers are still on scene conducting an investigation. There is currently no danger to the neighborhood. Additional information will be released as needed."
