DERBY - It's the most wonderful time of the month at Derby Neck Library: BARK! 

On the last Tuesday of the month, you have the chance to practice your reading skills and develop confidence by reading a story to the biggest, sleepiest, most utterly indifferent dog you'll ever meet in your life. 

Come to the Children's Room at 5:30 p.m. to pet that pup! The Library is at 307 Hawthorne Ave.

SHELTON - Registration is open for May's Dog Tales: Reading to a Therapy Dog at Huntington Branch Library.

On May 24 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. children ages 5 and up are welcome to register for a 10-minute slot to read to Brian the Newfoundland, a licensed therapy dog! The Library is at 41 Church St.

Children should bring their own favorite book to read. Families are encouraged to register multiple children in a shared reading slot, but no more than two children per slot.

Derby Public Library to host B.A.R.K. program for children Saturday

"Read to Molly" (ages 3-10, outdoors)

10:30-11:30 a.m. June 5

DERBY - This Saturday Derby Public Library welcomes back therapy dog Molly who is following in her brother Ollie’s “paw steps.”

Children will be given a 10-minute time slot to read and may select a book from home or one they have already checked out from the library to share with her for the program.

This activity is part of the popular B.A.R.K. (Be A Reading Kid) program.

Molly is ready to listen to young readers.

DERBY -The Derby Public Library staff welcomes therapy dog Molly March 2 at 10:30 a.m.

She will be following in her brother Ollie's "paw steps" listening to young readers share a book. 

Ollie visits the Library on the first and third Tuesday of each month. The Library is at 313 Elizabeth St.
