Ansonia Police seek info about early-morning double shooting at club



ANSONIA - Two city residents were shot early this morning at the St. Sebastian Club on Father Salemi Drive, Lt. Patrick Lynch said in a written release.
At about 2:30 a.m. police responded to 130 Father Salemi Drive for a report of a shooting. 
Officers first on scene found a 27-year-old male Ansonia resident that had been shot multiple times in the torso. 
The male was transported to a local hospital where he is in critical condition, Lynch said. 

During the investigation a second male gunshot victim was found. He was shot once in the buttocks. 
This male, a 26-year-old Ansonia resident, was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for the non-life-threatening injury. 
Officers initially responded to the location at about 2 a.m. for a disturbance, where they found a party at the location that ended when unknown parties began to fight. 
The people involved in the initial disturbance left the scene before officers’ arrival. 
Shortly after officers left the area the shooting occurred injuring the two Ansonia residents, Lynch said. 
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing. Detectives are gathering information and identifying potential witnesses.

Shelton Police charge 2 with robbery after fight in parking lot on Howe Avenue


SHELTON - Shelton Police Monday arrested 23-year old Jalen Bolton of Waterbury and 22-year old Ashan Langston of Bridgeport.

Police charged both Bolton and Langston with robbery 1st degree, larceny 3rd degree, and conspiracy in relation to both charges.

Additionally, Bolton was charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell when officers located crack cocaine.
Both were held on $100,000 bond and transported Tuesday to Derby Superior Court.
The arrests stem from an incident that occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. Monday, when Shelton Police were dispatched to a fight in the Municipal Parking lot at 415 Howe Ave. Officers canvassed the area; however, the individuals involved fled the scene, police said.
A short time later the victim came to the Shelton Police Department to report that he was robbed at gunpoint in downtown Shelton.
The victim stated he was able to fight off three suspects and get the license plate of the vehicle they were driving.
The vehicle information was shared with surrounding law enforcement agencies and Bridgeport Police Department Auto Theft Task Force located the vehicle in Bridgeport.
The vehicle was stopped and the occupants were identified as Langston and Bolton. The victim identified Langston and Bolton as two of the individuals that robbed him in Shelton.
The investigation is ongoing with additional arrests expected.

Ansonia Police charge 2 men in fight on Grove Street

ANSONIA - Ansonia Police received a complaint of a fight at about 10:30 pm. Wednesday on Grove Street.
The first arriving officers met with the victim who reported he was assaulted by his neighbor and then threatened with a handgun by a friend of the neighbor, according to police.
The neighbor was identified as David Ehler, Jr., 51, of Ansonia, and his friend was identified as George Lenker, 51, of Ansonia.
Lenker, who is a convicted felon, admitted to possessing a handgun. He turned the gun over to the officers, and the handgun had no serial numbers, police said.
David Ehler, Jr. was charged with assault third degree, and breach of peace second degree. He was released on a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear Jan. 26 at Derby Superior Court.
George Lenker was charged with threatening first degree, criminal possession of a firearm, reckless endangerment first degree, altering a firearm, and breach of peace second degree.
Lenker was held on a $20,000 bond and was to be arraigned today at Derby Superior Court.
