Quiet moment captured at Salvation Army in Ansonia

Volunteers pray with Salvation Army food pantry manager Janetta Dobler, right, before Friday's food distribution.

My husband, Ralph, and I are members of the Salvation Army Greater Valley Advisory Board and as such are working to get the word out about the organization.

On Friday I visited the food pantry at the nonprofit's location at 26 Lester St. in Ansonia to take some photos.

The food distribution Friday morning was highly organized and handled efficiently. Kudos to Dobler and her volunteers.
I watched them serve 33 people in just 45 minutes. Clients received bread, pastry, meat, produce, yogurt, milk, and orange juice.

Stay tuned for more photos of the distribution.
