Please join us in welcoming Recruit Police Officer Joseph August to the Derby Police Department!
On Wednesday Recruit Officer August proudly took the oath of office, sworn in by Police Commissioner Thomas DeGennaro.
He pledged to uphold the Constitution and faithfully enforce the laws of the State of Connecticut and the laws and ordinances of the City of Derby.
Recruit Officer August will begin his journey at the Meriden Police Academy on Oct. 2.
