20th anniversary class adds 3 members to Derby Hall of Fame


DERBY - The 20th anniversary class for the Derby Hall of Fame chosen by the Hall of Fame Committee brings the number of Hall members to 72.

The official announcement was made on May 10, 2026 - as Derby's 350th birthday year comes to an end. Each of the members is memorialized with a brick on the plaza at the entrance to the Derby Greenway.

The three members of the Class of 2026 includes business and medical leaders in Derby.
One operated a circulating library in his business before public libraries existed in Derby. Another was a true pioneer and inventor in the automobile industry and the third was a senior surgeon at Griffin Hospital, had his own private hospital and even was Chairman for Derby’s Tercentenary Committee!
