ANSONIA -The Ansonia Police Department held its awards ceremony May 1, the first since 2018. The department recognized its officers, civilian employees, fire department personnel, and a civilian for their actions.
The night culminated with the announcement of the officer of the year, the Brian F. Phipps Memorial Award of Excellence.
Chief Wayne Williams presents the 2025 award to Officer Jenny Ribeiro.
