Ansonia officials get preview of new camera truck for WPCA

Mayor David S. Cassetti today shows off new camera truck at the WPCA complex.

ANSONIA - Mayor David S. Cassetti, Superintendent of WPCA John Tomasella, Jason St. Jacques, Jason Dziubina, Michael Marino, Superintendent of PW Michael D'Alessio, board members of WPCA and Alderman President Josh Shuart were on hand for a preview of the new camera truck today that will dramatically improve and troubleshoot existing or potential sewer issues throughout the City.

The $186,000 mobile unit was paid for in full with Federal funds received from ARRA.

The high tech ROVVER X lets operators do everything – control inspections, view and record digital video, generate reports, and more.

Designed and built for the rigors of sewer work, its camera can proceed several hundred feet through sewer lines to detect breaks, invasive roots, and other issues to simplify repairs, and reduce costs.
