Valency A. Page started this business around 1875 at 91 Main St., Derby, as Clothier, Hat & Fur Goods.
He moved the business to 146 Main St. until its closing in 1887. But that did not stop Valency. He became Sec'y and Treas. for Derby Rubber Co. in 1889.
In 1891, he added to his schedule by also becoming Sec'y. and Treas. for Derby Comb Co. working at both places until solely working for Derby Comb in 1895 until 1915.
Mr. Page started a new venture of Valency Page Real Estate at 14 Olivia St. until his death in 1923.
