BHcare's Umbrella Center seeks monetary donations for back to school program

Like many things in our lives right now, our Back-to-School Program is a bit different.
In the years past, our amazing donors provided hand-picked school supplies and a head-to-toe outfit for the children of The Umbrella Center for Domestic Violence Services.
This year, due to the COVID-19 crisis, we’ve had to shift our process to ensure the utmost safety of our clients, their families, and our staff.

For the 2020/2021 school year, we are calling on our donors to be Back-to-School Heroes once again. We’re asking for monetary donations to our fund so we can safely provide these critical items to families without unnecessary exposure to COVID-19.

Many families who escape violent homes struggle to provide for their children. In most situations, the children leave with just the shirt on their backs. The challenges and stresses these girls and boys face are unimaginable.

With your donation, each child will be provided with pants, a shirt, socks, a jacket or winter coat, a backpack filled with school supplies, and a pair of new shoes.
